A key feature of our school is the extra curricular activities we provide. All young peo
ple have access to various pre school activities, also during lunch or break periods and after school clubs. Participation is vital to pupils becoming more confident individuals.
The activities enable students to take part in activities they enjoy and or access additional help and support with their studies. Involvement in extra curricular activities is strongly encouraged.
Throughout the year a variety of educational visits take place. These include trips to museums, art galleries, historical sights, sports venues, colleges and universities. The school encourages staff to enhance subject delivery by incorporating educational based visits. This provides students opportunities to put theoretical knowledge into context and gain a better understanding and insight through practical experience.
The school is proud of its sporting achievements and students are able to participate in many sport related activities. Throughout the year the school competes with other schools through tournaments. The school recognises that sport is a vital part of everyday life; and it is one of the many ways we promote active and healthy lifestyles. We are also committed to providing experiences in extracurricular activities and sports such as archery, skiing, orienteering, canoeing, jungle challenges and bush craft.
